The problem with pulsed magnetic fields on earth as related to human health is two-fold. First we don't get enough of the HEALTHY pulsating magnetc fields and secondly we get too much of the HARMFUL electromagnetic fields from cell phones, power lines, microwaves, x-rays, cosmic rays, etc.
The Problem: Part 1 (Not Enough of the Good)
Anthropology studies estimate that our ancestors walked on average 17 miles (25 KM) a day hunting for food, building shelter, etc. They had to work hard, because there were no supermarkets, no Walmart, no Home Depot, etc. They also did not have planes, trains or automobiles, so if they wanted to move or migrate, they walked.
Modern man is estmated to walk on average 1/2 a mile (800 meters) a day. Thats it! With all the modern conveniences and cars, planes, elevators, escalators, etc, there is little need to even walk.
Herein lies the problem...
Pulsed Magnetic fields, as we mentioned, provide the impulse or ignition for cellular energy production. One of the MAIN ways we create a pulsating magnetic field is by movement. Our earth does contain pulsating magnetic fields as we shall see, but there is also a static field. By moving your body through a static field, you create a pulsed magnetic field.
If you stand still in a calm pool, there are no waves. Start moving your body and you create waves. Similarly, by moving your body throught that static "pool" of the earths magnetic field, you create a magnetic field that "waves" or changes with time (pulsed).
This pulsed magnetic field provides the spark for your cellular battery, creating a better metabolism.
Also, this explains why athletes have better metabolism.
Speaking of athletes, do you know why the Kenyan marathon runners run barefoot? This questions leads us to the second part of "not enough". Not only do we NOT exercise, but we are also INSULATED from the earths natural electromagnetic fields by walking (and running) in shoes with rubber soles, driving in cars with rubber tires, living in steel reinforced concrete buildings, rarely spending even a moment with our barefeet on the earth.
Have you ever noticed that gardening in barefeet or walking barefeet on the beach is VERY energizng? Well according to acupuncture and the Chinese understanding of the body's meridians (or energy centers), the feet can absorb earth energy or magnetism. If you wear rubber soles, you block this absorption.
Even worse is that we live and work in steel reinforced concrete or homes with steel girders. This creates a "shelding" of the earths natural pusled magnetic energies.
The Problem: Part 2 (Too Much of the Bad)
I think most people are beginning to realize that putting their cellphone right next to your head for hours on end, day in and day out is NOT good. Also harmful radiations from microwaves, computers, high GHz phones, power lines, x-rays, cosmic rays and radiation from high altitude flights, etc. We now live in a world of artificially created electromagnetic waves and these unnatural fields are not good for us period. I won't spend too much time on this point and I hope most people reading this are aware of this modern day problem.
Fortunately, there does exist EMF protection devices AND certain pulsed magnetic therapy mats have a "cleansing" effect on this electrosmog as it is sometimes called.
